Marina di Pietrasanta has privileges that are enviable and
difficult to equal: the blue and immense sea, clean and
fresh the caresses the beach in all its lenght, soft with
fine sand, smooth and plentiful, the relaxing, rich woods
that grant beautiful shadows, full of hidden places and
delicious aromas of resins, that mix together with the odors
of the sea..salty remains..the fragrance of the flowers
and the woods, and the soft exhaling of the waves.
Luigi Gravina wrote this in the distant
l93 I in the volume XXII of "Illustration of Nature
and Artistic Beauties of Italy".
Seventy years later, Marina di Pietrasanta
keeps intact the same beauty, the same fascinating splendor
of that time.
A touristic location, one of the most renowned
in the world, now Marina di Pietrasanta offers the tourists
not only a unique natural environment, but also first class
structures to receive them.
It also houses sports fields at an international
level, art and culture along with the most prestigious names
in the world of sculpture, poetry, ballet, pop music and
journalism.
Marina di Pietrasanta is a coastal area
about 5 kilometers long included between the towns of Camaiore,
on the south-east, and Forte dei Marmi on the north-west.
Its limit on the south is the Tyrrhenian Sea and on the
north the Sestri-Levante Livorno highway. At its back, stands
the magnificent chain of the Alpi Apuane. The beach has
an approximate width of 150 meters with a sand that is fine
and gold in colour, with a slight decline typical of: this
ploce which make these beaches particularly safe for children
and people of every age.

Marina di Pietrasanta comprises four locations:
Fiumetto, Tonfano, Motrone and Focette. In Fiumetto is the
famous Versiliana pine wood, 80 acres of Mediterranean bush.
Inside is the Villa with the same name, where the poet D'Annunzio
stayed.
