Bagnore is small village in the province of Grosseto,
The Romans called the springs in this area ?Acqua Forte
(hot water).? Located 600 meters above sea level this region
is near Monte Amiata, a 1738 meter peak. Our villa for the
next three nights was built in 1928 and is surrounded by
chestnut, walnut, and fir trees. Relax in the spa. Soak
in the ambience.

LANDSCAPE
This health resort lies in a summer-holiday area at 773
mt height nearby the old and picturesque Santa Fiora village
which still preserves a group of medieval buildings a visit
to the Palazzo Sforza Cesarini (12th century) to the romanesque
parish church of Santa Fiora e Lucilla is well worthwhile.
"La Peschiera", a little artificial lake deriving
from the river Fiora is characteristic. It is possible to
enjoy tours to the surrounding localities such as to the
monastery of SS. Trinitr, to Abbazia St. Salvatore and to
the mount Amiata.

open air. In Bagnore (S. Fiora) and Bagni S. Filippo (Castiglione
d'Orcia) there are thermal establishments with thermal-mineral
water for every kind of treatment. Not only the naturalistic,
but also the social-cultural heritage of this area remained
untouched. This area is still strongly soaked in rural traditions
and covered with solidarity and hospitality feelings. The
natural beauties of the Amiata mountain find an area of
special value in the "Fauna Park", an area of
observation, study and research of the variegated animal
species. Here the wolf of the Apennines finds hospitality
and here an ecosystem is kept, assuring the reproduction
of foxes, buzzards, hawks, beech-martens, weasels.
